VPK

VPK was established to ensure all children are intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially ready to enter kindergarten. Research indicates that early language and literacy experiences have an important impact on educational success. We are proud to be a pilot VPK provider offering a school year VPK Program of 540 instructional hours from August through May. The teachers at Children’s Academy are educated and experienced in early childhood education satisfying Florida State requirements. 

We offer high quality learning opportunities for all four year old children. Quality programs provide rich and varied language opportunities. Our program actively involves and engages children in emergent literacy and writing skills. Students receive hands-on learning in a developmentally appropriate environment. Classrooms are beautifully equipped allowing opportunities for language, science, math, music, art, dramatic and block play. Assessments are done three times a year and there is a support system in place for referrals or possible developmental delays.

Our VPK Program hours are from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Friday. We also offer wrap around care for working parents before and after school beginning at 6:00am and ending at 7:30pm.
